Wiring

To replace the rear lights I had to take the fibreglass fairing off and the wiring I found underneath was probably the worse case of wiring on a new bike or car I have ever seen, I won’t go into the detail, I just decided to replace it.

The other reason to replace it, was the many connections to undo to get the fairing off, the chance of me getting it all back together and working right (assuming it was in the first place) was pretty remote.

So I rewired the fairing ending at two multi plug connectors, one for the right side and the other for the left side including the number plate, so now its 4 nuts and two quick release connectors and the fairings off (two minutes max)

The next bit of wiring installation that worried me was some burnt wiring I found where it was resting on the rear exhaust pipe, it just needed tying back.

Another wiring item that needs attention, is where it passes through the speedo bracket, you need to file the rough edges of the speedo bracket, on my bike it was starting to cut through the wires, its job to do when you take the steering apart to check the bearings, but you can get away with just undoing the  top nut.
